Research Assistant for Operations and Tissue Sampling in Laboratory Rodents (f/m/d)

Scantox Neuro GmbH is an international contract research company with a focus on preclinical research. In the field of neuropharmacology, we have been successfully supporting projects for the research and development of new therapeutic approaches for neurodegenerative diseases for more than 20 years.

To strengthen our team in Grambach near Graz, we are looking for a committed personality as 

Research Assistant for Operations and Tissue Sampling in Laboratory Rodents (f/m/d)

Full-time | 40 hours | Location Grambach near Graz

Your tasks:

In this role, you will work on innovative research projects in the field of neurodegenerative diseases and take on the following activities, among others:

• Independent performance of complex tissue sampling in mice and rats 
• Performing surgeries, e.g. stereotactic injections in mice and rats
• Creation and revision of new or existing SOPs
• Assumption of training and equipment responsibility

What you bring to the table:

• Completed training, ideally in veterinary medicine or natural sciences (biology, pharmacy, etc.) 
• Independent, structured and precise way of working 
• High sense of responsibility and understanding of quality 
• Team spirit and flexibility in everyday work 
• Ability to implement test protocols precisely and document experiments in a comprehensible way 
• Confident handling of MS Office and other common computer applications 
• Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken 
• Interest in scientific research and the willingness to continuously learn

Salary

For this position, a collectively agreed minimum gross salary of EUR 2,528.04 per month (14 times a year, full-time basis) applies. Depending on qualifications and professional experience, we naturally offer an overpayment.
